Over several weekends, I collaborated with a small studio team to produce and edit The Gate, a short film directed by Kevin Huckabee, created to help secure funding for a full-length feature. The project raised over $30,000 through GoFundMe, which financed the creation of the film’s signature monster suit, later showcased at comic-cons and independent film festivals across the U.S.
Although the feature was never completed, The Gate became a standout proof of concept and an invaluable learning experience. I gained deep insight into the post-production pipeline for feature films, working closely with VFX artists and audio post-houses to bring the project to life with cinematic quality on an indie budget.
